In 2017 Topsy began her legal studies with the GDL before completing her LPC and MSc in Law Business and Management at the University of Law in Leeds graduating in January 2020 with Distinction.

In August 2020 Topsy joined the team at Fleets as a paralegal working alongside Hugh, Tony and Annest assisting with their caseloads.

Topsy has now assisted on a number of complex and interesting property dispute matters including cases that have been referred to the First Tier Tribunal and Judicial Review. As well contentious probate matters, professional negligence cases and Rights of Way issues.

Some of the most recent notable cases Topsy was heavily involved in include:

  • Helping a client successfully gain possession of an unregistered pathway that ran alongside their property.
  • Helping a client successfully gain title to a section of unregistered land which formed part of their garden.
  • Helping a client successfully gain title to an area of woodland which they used as part of their garden.   

Before deciding to pursue a legal career Topsy studied a BA of Fine Art and History Joint Honours at Aberystwyth University, two subjects she continues to enjoy. After graduating from Aberystwyth Topsy worked for a year teaching English in China before returning to the UK and working in IT and the health and fitness industry.
